Normal life was disrupted out of gear in Odisha’s Koraput district today as the district headquarters recorded 814.8 mm rainfall, the highest recorded this year, under the influence of the low pressure over the Bay. Semiliguda block was recorded the highest of 132 mm and Bandhugaon as the minimum of 8 mm. In a release by the local Met office here this evening said apart from Koraput, there was heavy rainfall over a number of south and coastal Odisha districts in the last 24 hours. Boipariguda recorded 105 mm rainfall, followed by Nandapur (65), Dasmantpur (60), Jeypore (76), Kotpad (71), Kundra (55.1), Koraput (57.8), Laxmipur (40), Narayanpatna (17.2), ,Borigumma (12.2), Pottangi (40) and, Lamtaput (75.4). In an average there was 58.20mm rainfall in Koraput District.
