685 houses destroyed in Koraput district due to heavy rain...

As per the government official records more than about 560 houses were destroyed and about 26 houses washed out by rain current year in Koraput district of Odisha. Reportedly, in past couple of days due to heavy rain most of the houses were damaged or destroyed was figured out. On Saturday the district witnessed damage of 99 houses. In all total about 685 houses were damaged or destroyed in rain. As per the official record, 36 houses damaged in Koraput block. Similarly, in Lamtaput block 21, in Pottangi 5, Bandhugam 5, Dasmantpur 40, Laxmipur 95 and the highest recorded in Nandapur 118 houses were damaged. In Semiliguda block 105 houses were destroyed, in Jeypore block 45, in Kotpad block 56, Kundra block 23, Borigumma 72 and Boipariguda 34 was recorded. Out of all these 26 houses were completely washed away in heavy rain.
